Starts Cooking Sorghum Last Week

L. H. Appelman started his sorghum mill last week. This year the press room machinery has been remodeled considerably. Most growers felt they didn't have time to strip and detassel the cane, so the mill changed over to do this as the cane is fed to the press. At the start they ran into several bags in the machinery, which they hope to iron out to process the cane as rapidly as the cookers can handle it.
