The Farmers Savings Bank marks its 40th anniversary with charter issued July 5, 1913 by State Auditor Bleakly. A Ericksen, now vice president, has served the bank since opening day November 4, 1913, later becoming cashier before E W Higemann succeeded him in 1950. Ericksen remained vice president through today, a familiar figure in Lowe’s banking circles and Fayette County Bankers Association.

The project rebuilt fixtures lowered the ceiling added acoustical board lighting and new cork and lingleum flooring. Gage and Wolfers of New Hampton did the fixtures and Clermont Brick and Sand Co. supplied and installed the lighting.
