Raccoon Takes Over Guttenberg Fireplace as Workmen Arrive
On a Guttenberg building site a full grown raccoon occupied the fireplace over the weekend. Workers could not remove it without harm until Frank Meer used a fishermans dip net to scoop it into the Mississippi where it swam away after a rough landing. In Bellevue, Stephen Schwager, a young farmer, died recently when a tractor wheel struck him, throwing him under the revolving mechanism after catching on a gate post.
