Open Letter to a Boy From Sydney J Harris on Road Manners
An open letter admonishes an 18 year old driver who cut in on a hill. The writer credits alert motorists for avoiding an accident and rejects the idea that speed equals heroism. He argues real courage shows patience and courtesy, not recklessness, and urges men to protect boys from their own bravado on the highway.
