Valley High Cadets Observe Classes And Yearbook Plans
Valley High seniors in F.T.A. cadet teaching observe various classes including 2nd grade with Mrs. Krieg and Elgin with Ms Ellen Flennagan. Robert Crow assists algebra class. Nancy Whittenbaugh aids music teachers Gretier and Goodsalts. The yearbook Highlights will be a white hardcover with blue tone, autographs by seniors, Montteur Studios documented pictures, and year-end assembly planned for August. Fundraising covers most publishing costs with seniors funding the rest. Carolyn Follett, senior editor, contributes editorial layout and activities from band to staff duties.

Valley High School suffers sixth Upper Iowa Conference loss as Postville Pirates rally to beat Valley 57 54 on February 7. Torson and Garrison lead Valley with 22 and 14 points while Engelhardt tops Postville with 19. Reserve game also won by Postville 59 28 with Smith Berg Peck scoring in double figures. Valley's next conference game is February 14 at Fayette.
