Fayette County Board appoints attorney for county auditors
The Fayette County Iowa board of supervisors resolves to have Marion Hirachburg and his firm represent all county auditors and treasurers in ten pending equity cases involving railroad companies and the Iowa State Tax Commission. Fayette County Board Proceedings January 14 1865
Fayette County Board of Supervisors met in West Union with absent members none. Claims approved include William Gamm indemnity 12.50 and deputies and peace officers salaries such as Helen Frieden 1900.00 and Alfred Bowern 500.00. The board appointed William J. Wolf deputy county medical examiner for two years. A bid to purchase an International truck for 16950.00 was approved after polling three providers. the clerk noted the Executive Council hired Marion Hirschburg and the law firm Hirschburg Reynolds Gilchrist Nutty Smith in Ames as special counsel.
