Old Settlers Meet Urges Peace and Science for Mankind
In a continued Old Settlers address, speakers urged sending good wishes to Mr. Tyler and warned that the old world is passing. They stressed peaceful progress through science, noting atomic energy, aerodynamics, and bacteriology as tools for welfare, not destruction, and called for pioneers of peace to eliminate war. The speaker warned of two hostile blocs, rising military dominance, and a three-fourths share of the federal budget going to defense, urging reduced tensions and revised world conditions.
