Wife's job could pose issue for Edmonds School Board candidate
Keith Kingsbury of Lynnwood runs for director district 3 while his wife works part time as a Mountlake Terrace High School teacher. State law bars a public official from having a spouse employed by the agency they serve, a point district attorney John Binns says is a conflict of interest. The district takes a neutral stance. Kingsbury contends no conflict exists and will campaign. Superintendent Hal Reasby says no action will be taken until after the election.
