Edmonds parole office helps city with community safety
Parole officers in Edmonds say their work benefits the city by supervising felons on probation or parole and coordinating with police and county sheriff. The staff of five plus a secretary oversee about 337 clients, with each officer monitoring 80 to 90 individuals. They conduct pre parole and pre sentence reports and assist in restitution through fines. The Edmonds office moved from Mountlake Terrace last year to 7907 212th St. S.W. near Edmonds High School and features officers Joep DeJonge Sandra Silver Mike Goldberg Dennis Gits and secretary Virginia Wright along with intern Frank Martinez.
