ELDEC breaks ground on new North Creek building
ELDEC, the Lynnwood electronics firm, starts construction of an 86000 square foot two story facility on 44 acres at its North Creek campus. The project, costing 6 to 7 million including land, will house the Lensing Systems and Sensing Systems divisions and may employ up to 2500. Edmonds resident Max Gellert is company president. The site sits on Bothell Everett Highway north of SR 527 near Thrasher's Corner. The first building to be completed next June will house the Sensing Systems Division, which designs advanced aircraft sensing gear used in commercial and military applications. The project is by Elling Halvorson Inc. and McKinley Gerron Architects with construction on track for November walling.
