Jeppesen Ordered To Plead Insanity In Court Case
King County Superior Court Judge Terrance Carroll ruled Jeppesen competent to stand trial but ordered an insanity defense to be entered. Minister expelled from South Africa as pastor flees
Rev. Brian Burchfield former pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church Lynnwood and his family left South Africa after a brief jail stay for disregarding a deportation order. He was arrested at Johannesburg Airport on Thursday night after authorities ordered him to leave. His release came through U.S. Embassy help. His wife Susan remains in the country for a week to pack belongings while daughters Erin and Megan accompanied their father. Earlier police detained 56 well wishers at a German pastor’s departure in March, charges later dropped.
