Edmonds resident Jerry Janacek age 36 seeks a position on the Edmonds Board of Directors to complete a two year term. A Meadowdale High School and University of Washington graduate, he directs Yesler Terrace Neighborhood House in Seattle and prioritizes fiscal accountability and enhanced student education through SIP PIE and parent groups. He cites listening to the community as key to educational decisions. He and his wife Barbara have two children.
The Joe Youngren dairy farm in Stanwood hosts an open house on Saturday July 23 from 10 am to 2 pm to showcase milk processing. Tours run 10 am to noon with a noon luncheon, entertainment by the Old Time Fiddlers and free pony rides for 11 am to 2 pm. Shirley Bartholomew will MC.
