Everett water filtering plant ready to serve county
Dan Lowell, manager of the Everett water filtration plant, says the $30 million facility near Lake Chaplain will treat Sultan River Basin water for about 250,000 residents and is due to start testing soon with possible service by mid August and dedication on September 1. Turbidity has improved, reducing the need for filtration though a temporary chalky taste may occur in initial days.
