PAWS seeks county contract to handle unincorporated dogs
PAWS in Lynnwood seeks a Snohomish County contract to lawfully pick up dogs in unincorporated areas, currently under Everett animal control. The plan aims to avoid misidentification and ensure proper ownership checks, amid sheriff’s concerns over past euthanizations. Administrative assistant Ken Bostock says agreement would define PAWS authority and clarify overlaps, with undecided jurisdiction over lost dogs if both shelters handle the area.
