Duchesne High School Awards Assembly Highlights

Duchesne High School held an awards assembly with Susan Mitchell leading the Pledge and Louise Moon presiding as student body president. Laurels and honors were given to Hooper siblings, Freeman, and numerous officers and students across grades for achievements in academics, speech, science, yearbook, and athletics.

Miss Carye Wilkerson Attends Niece’s April Wedding

Miss Carye Wilkerson served as maid of honor at the April wedding of her niece Miss Sharyn Mecham and Mr. Jess Campose in Ogden. She visited at the J L Eccles residence as guest of Mr. Jason Eccles II, who hosted a party for her 1st birthday while home from West Point Academy.

Services Held for Okey K. Davis

Funeral services were held Saturday for Okey K. Davis 80 who died May 18 in Salt Lake City of natural causes. He was born August 24 1885 in Liberty Virginia and was a retired cook member of the LDS Church. Survivors include his widow Olleva Fitzwater Davis two daughters Norene Jarl and Edith Sneed and several grandchildren with services at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
