Myton News highlights community and church events

Weekend visitors at the Richens ranch included Newell Richens and his wife as they attend USA in Logan. Stewart Dennis will study Polynesian at BYU before LDS mission service in Brazil. Myton LDS Ward graduation at State House lists four and three year graduates. Various visits to USU Logan, Sacrament talks, and a large scout banquet at Randlett are noted. Memorial Day plans and local gatherings fill the week.

Hullinger Seeks Reelection To Duchesne County School Board

Hollis G. Hullinger, president of the Duchesne County Board of Education, seeks reelection from precinct No. 2 Roosevelt. He is the only incumbent to file so far with nominations due 30 days before the November 8 general election. Four year terms available in precincts 1 2 and 3. incumbents include Marion A. Harrison Neola No. 1 and Nathan D. Allen Myron No. 3. Hullinger has served his first four-year term and has been board president since January.

Student officers elected for the 1966 1967 term at Duchesne High School include Eddie Brown as president of the student council Ronald Taylor as vice president Carolyn Wright as secretary and Susan Mitchell as historian.

Duchesne Democrats Reelect Chairman and Elect Officers

John P. Madsen was reelected precinct chairman at Duchesne mass meetings. Dorothy Mickelson as vice president and Susana Doty as secretary, with William H. Case moving to the finance committee. Ten delegates named for the county nominating convention to be held June 18 at 1 30 p.m. at the courthouse.

Louise Moon Crowned Aquila Queen in 1966 Yearbook

Louise Moon of Duchesne is named Aquila queen by student vote for the 1966 Duchesne High School yearbook. Moon is president of the 1966 student council and valedictorian of the graduating class. Edythe Marett attended a stake YWMIA campout in Big Cottonwood Canyon to certify leaders in first aid camping and outdoor skills for the MIA program, with a three day camp-out planned for July.

Reception to Honor Newlyweds Sandra Abplanalp and Jack Lang
