Duchesne High Names Wrestling Award Recipient
Duchesne High School awarded the outstanding wrestling prize to Terry Lance in the program's first year. Lance, son of Gale and a lapel pin recipient, competed at the regional meet while Coach Josie honored other wrestlers. The DHS achievement assembly also announced the Duchesne Junior Basketball Team’s first place at the Myton Tournament with Bobby Bailey as all star and Dennis Grant as MVP.

Youth Core Project Approved by Labor Department
The Neighborhood Youth Corps project in Duchesne County will place 22 in-school and 18 out-of-school youths in work experience roles. It has a total budget of 17 850 dollars with 16 060 dollars funded by the federal government. Local coordinator is R G Ross. The program targets ages 16 to 21 to help students stay in or return to school or gain job experience.
