Duchesne High names 1966 67 junior varsity cheerleaders
Four energetic girls Denice Brown Sherrie Roberts Patsy Thompson and Pam Davies were chosen as JV cheerleaders for 1966 67 at Duchesne High School. Candidates needed a C or better average. Each group presented a new cheer and an individual cheer. Selections were by secret ballot of students. Tryouts occurred during a student and faculty assembly.

Altamont Livestock Show Shows Strong Youth Involvement
The 24th annual Moon Lake Chapter FFA Junior Livestock Show at Altamont rodeo grounds awarded about 500 in premium money with 96 exhibitors from Duchesne and Uintah counties. Grand champions included Carr Fisher in fat beef, Randy Hartman for dairy, Layne Caldwell for fat pig, Mack Fieldstead for breeding sheep, and a quarterhorse in the senior horse show. Awards totaling 175 remain to be distributed, funded by state and county sources and local advertisers. Judge staff from Utah State University and Uintah Ouray cooperatives praised the event as a success with strong parent support.
