Bus Hits Tree Injures 21 Near Hybla Valley

In Alexandria on September 26 a Washington Richmond bus crashed into a tree injuring 21 people, two seriously. Driver Norman Dove suffered a fractured skull in critical condition, while Mrs Wade H Allen of New York had multiple limb injuries. Eleven remained hospitalized. Officials cited headlights from an oncoming car as the possible cause.

In Pine Bluff Arkansas three men Ulysses Long 26 Louis Halcomb 22 and Walter Halcomb 16 were killed when an abandoned radio aerial contacted a 2300 volt line during its removal. Mrs Blanche Long watched as the wire killed her husband and brothers in law.

Seventieth-Year-Old Man Faces Murder Charge Next Week

James Neely, 70, arrested in Texas, is set for arraignment in Marshall County circuit court on first degree murder charges in the 1883 death of Hiram Cooley. He plans to plead not guilty by reason of self defense as officials note the trial will occur in the third or fourth week of the term beginning Monday. Bodies of Two Men Found Bullet-Riddled On Public Highway

Utica New York September 26 bullet riddled bodies of Tallis Mulkoon 46 and son Rocco 26 found on a road outside the city. They lay on opposite sides of the road. A roadster in the center may be the father’s car. Both shot at close range with a 45 caliber revolver and a shotgun. One head was nearly blown off. No motive yet. Father carried 249 dollars and a diamond ring with money in his pockets.
