Duke and Duchess Decline Royal Wedding Invite
London sources say the Duchess of Windsor will not be invited to Princess Elizabeth and Philip Mountbatten's wedding. The Duke would attend only if his wife could, but Queen Mary remains unforgiving of the American divorce. Royal precedence places the Duke third after the King and Duke of Gloucester, while the Duchess would rank far lower.
