Brewton Man Faces Life Imprisonment For Killing Nephew
Brewton Alabama man 23 faced life in prison after being convicted of first degree murder in the fatal beating of his 10 year old nephew. A Circuit Court jury deliberated about 20 minutes before sentencing judge F W Ware imposed life. The defense pressed insanity and claimed the boy died when run over by a harrow, while prosecutors said the boy was beaten with a root and iron bolt.
