Pinckard Man Held for Drunken Driving After Three-Vehicle Crash

R. W. Andrews of Pinckard was arrested last night on a charge of driving while intoxicated after a three-vehicle collision on U S Highway 231 about a half mile south of Napier Field around 7 p m. Patrolmen said Andrews was on the wrong side of the road and sideswiped a car driven by Merle Halsten of Newton and collided head on with a car driven by Leslie Dassinger of Midland City. Andrews was driving a pickup truck. None of the drivers was injured. Damage to all vehicles was about 200 dollars.

Auburn students urge Senate to confirm trustees

Spalding to Close 1946 47 Season in Dothan

Violinist Albert Spalding will perform tomorrow at 8 30 p m in the Dothan high school auditorium sealing the Community Concert season. The program recalls prior guests Rose Bampton and Marina Svetlova. Spalding, Chicago native and WWI WWII veteran, has appeared with major orchestras and earned several honors including the Legion of Honor and the Medal of Freedom.
