Mrs Barbia Cassady Dies Near Samson
Mrs Barbia Cassady aged sixty two died at her home on Samson route one after a long illness. Funeral services were held at Corner Creek Church with Rev Earl Dubois officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery. Survived by husband Calvin Cassady four daughters and four sons, seven grandchildren, and a brother Tom Carroll. Johnson Wilkerson directed services.

Mrs. Alfo Huggins forty four died at 810 South Appletree street after a weeks long illness. Funeral services were held at Memphis Church at 10 a.m. with Rev. C. H. Hildreth and Rev. Oland Wilson officiating and burial in the church cemetery. She had lived in Dothan 15 years and is survived by husband three sons Earl Ray and Bryant a mother Mrs. Annie Berry three sisters Mrs. Joe Powell Mrs. Ray Hannah and Mrs. Della Mae Stone and a brother Marcus Berry. Third Victim Found In Rubble Of Blast In Chicago Loop
Fire crews found a third victim among brick rubble from the three story blast in Chicago Loop. The body was tentatively identified as Lews Pappas candy store proprietor. Two others died instantly as the explosion leveled the building and shattered windows up to six blocks away. Police suspect illuminating gas in a first floor restaurant caused the blast.
