Quinn seeks Illinois state treasurer in 1990 race
Chicago based activist Patrick Quinn announced his candidacy for state treasurer as filing opened for offices this week. He would face Rep Peg Breslin and Rep Tom Homer in the March 1990 Democratic primary and urged overhauls to Illinois property tax system. Quinn, once a county tax board commissioner, had been critical of George Dunne but cited Dunne's retirement and a crowded field as factors in his decision.
