Circus History and the Pharos Legend in America
A long reflection on the American circus, its origins from George Washington to Phineas T. Barnum, Ringling Brothers, and the winter quarters. It links circus lore with a proposed modern Pharos of Columbus monument in Haiti, exploring aviation era implications and maritime legacy. The piece blends historical anecdotes with plans for a grand beacon commemorating Columbus and nautical guidance.
