South Bend observers note the Standard Six Duplex models combine open car feel with closed-car protection. The Duplex Phaeton and roadster feature three fixed glass windows and side curtains, rapid conversion to a dry closed cabin, lacquer finish, unit power plant with 25 percent more power, hydraulic four wheel brakes option, balloon tires, and premium leather upholstery on the larger models.

In a March hearing at the Butte city council room the Utah compensation board found Ridella Armstrong legally entitled to $5000 for her former husband Dr Richard Armstrong's death in a Bingham mine. Mabel Armstrong contested, the district court awarded Ridella, and the supreme court ruled that both widows would not receive the money since Ridella testified she would not accept Armstrong support.
