From garden to canneries how spinach is cleaned
A first hand tour follows spinach from nearby farms to the cannery. Seven tons per hour are canned after careful hand sorting washing rinsing and multiple baths. The process ends with boiling water steaming and topping before final cooling and packing for shipmen.

Neighbors held a wood-sawing bee at Mr and Mrs Art Klesigs home to aid him after a foot injury while haying. Women prepared supper and dancing followed. Local residents and visitors from Wisdom Divide and Butte were listed among attendees and events across Wise River and surrounding areas.

Navy Commends Radio Service For Saving Government Millions
Secretary of the Navy Swanson on August 1 1934 commends the naval communication service for the past year. He notes naval radio stations saved the government over 3.3 million dollars through efficient traffic handling and operations.
