Yellowstone Trail Day Proposed as Eastern Montana Plan
Eastern Montana boosters met in Billings to designate January 15 as Yellowstone Trail Day in every town along the route. They urged the legislature to create a state highway fund and keep the trail through eastern Montana. W. J. Mulvaney was re elected to the trail association national executive committee and likely to become president. The plan offers a $250 cup to the town with the most new members per population, to be held five years. The group vows to keep the Yellowstone route the northern gateway out of Chicago and foresees Forsyth hosting the next annual meeting.
