Rotary Backs National Education Week Start Date Set
The Dillon Rotary backs National Education Week starting Monday November 17 and running through Saturday November 23 with support from club leaders Dr R D Curry Principal A T Pareanon and President Davis of the Normal College. Open house at the high school Friday invites all to visit and other schools will welcome visitors next week. Louis Penwell of Helena and George Clemon of Jackson spoke at the luncheon and discussed pea industry potential with Beaverhead County reporting 2000 acres grown. Everett Hill's Rotary International visit was canceled due to his father's death and L K Adams presided at the luncheon.

Six Men Sentenced in Deer Lodge Prison Terms
Six prisoners were taken to Deer Lodge Saturday by Sheriff Dan Mooney to serve sentences in the state prison. They had been arraigned Thursday and pled guilty. John Nesbit and Dosie Tritt, both colored, assaulted Dan Mooney, uncle of the sheriff, Sept. 11, with two watches and money seized. each got two to four years. Henry Calvert and John Davie, the latter Italian, admitted thefts of saddles, bridles, four horses, and more. sentences ranged one to two years. Alex Rodela and Cordelia Faye, Mexicans, broke into and robbed the Bedrock section house. both pled guilty and received one to two years.
