All Dillon schools the American Legion post and the Dillon Rotary club observe National Education Week from November 17 to 23. Linden McCullough urges parents to visit the training school November 19 and 20 to review aims and methods and discuss how to support education locally and nationally. Additionally John Inaball and family were in town en route to Long Beach for the winter.

Beaverhead County Chapter of the American Red Cross selects Miss Jean MacGregor as roll call chairman and Miss Boger as assistant. Y. E. Hurt Arrested for Unlawful Liquor Sale
Y E Hurt was placed under arrest last Thursday afternoon at Lima and brought to Dillon by Sheriff Dan Mooney and Undersheriff Frank Kellum on a charge of selling intoxicating liquor. He pleaded not guilty at arraignment before Justice Phillips. bonds set at 1000 dollars were posted the next morning. Prosecutors allege he sold moonshine to minors in a second offense following last summer’s arrest.

Boys outnumber girls in training school

Death of Beaverhead Pioneer Harvey Sullivan
Harvey Sullivan 80 a pioneer miner and prospector in Beaverhead county was found dead last Thursday morning about a mile from the Howell ranch on Horse Prairie death attributed to heart failure. He locates on Medicine Lodge claim over twenty years ago and leaves two sisters Anna Hart and Mrs Blivens. Funeral was held Saturday at Brundage parlors with Rev T W Bennett officiating and interment at Mountain View cemetery.

Helena reports Montana produced 10,648,000 bushels of corn in 1924, a record for total output on expanded acreage, with corn acreage rising from 60,000 acres in 1914 to over 500,000 in 1924.
