Helena Diamond Jubilee Plans Highlight City History
The 1939 Diamond Jubilee celebration for Helena Montana is planned for early June with a Vigilante parade, pageants for four evenings, and more than 800 participants. Committees led by Lester Loble coordinate events, dredging outlooks, and historic tours as Helena traces its gold rush origins from Last Chance Gulch to state capitol milestones.
