Local Matron Dies of Pneumonia in Dillon
Mrs Frank Blair a Bea verhead county matron died Monday at Barrett hospital after a four week illness pneumonia fatal. She was 60 born September 1 1878 in Illinois and lived in Dillon Horse Prairie and other Beaverhead county areas. Survived by husband and a son Ludwig Carlisle of Butte and sister Elsa Buckman Arlington Va. Funeral held this afternoon Brundage chapel Rev Paris Wells Presbyterian officiating interment Mountain View cemetery.

Nearly Two Hundred At Birch Creek CCC Camp
A Civilian Conservation Corps company of 190 youths arrived at Birch Creek last Friday from the Many Glaciers camp in Glacier National Park. The Missouri Arkansas and Nebraska group, under Lt. James Coleman, joined a small earlier arrival. The camp will host winter projects and an educational course planned for the season.

Plea of Guilty to Forgery In Idaho County Court
Charles Green pleaded guilty to forgery in justice court before Judge Louis Stahl and was bound over to district court for sentence under a $1,000 bond. Dillon lodge No. 513 entertained about 75 members of the Treasury State Legion of the Order at a frolic at the I.O.O.F. hall Saturday night. Delegations came from Butte Anaconda Deer Lodge Philipsburg and Helena plus guests from other lodges. Great North Moose L. H. Dillon Men Escape In Canoe Mishap On Beaverhead River
Cornelius J. Hovren a Dillon businessman and Beaverhead post American Legion commander, with L Donovan, had a narrow escape when their duck-hunting canoe struck a log and overturned on the Beaverhead river Sunday afternoon. They lost both shotguns and the canoe was damaged. Donovan clung to willows and reached safety minutes later.
