County commissioners award the Examiner Printing Co. a two year printing and binding contract after rejecting a 7 percent handling charge proposal. Art Major Student Draws Big Crowd To View Display
One hundred twenty three people visited Vernace McBroom's art exhibit on Thursday March 11. The display featured oils figure composition charcoal studies water colors pastels easel paintings clay modeling small sculptures finger paintings pencil sketches block printing puppets and folios of drawings and art method notebooks for primary through 10th grade. Vernace noted which studies the crowd preferred among the varied works.

On March 8 the sophomores beat the faculty 35 to 25 with Hellman leading the faculty and Sterling top for the sophomores. Frosh over juniors 17 to 16 led by Dahl and Cline. March 10 the faculty beat the jr sr 45 to 20 while the sophs defeated the frosh 33 to 14. W A A awards numerals next quarter. Beav erhead Quill and Scroll hosted Chanticleers from Normal college. Winter quarter ends Thursday. spring quarter begins with registration Monday and classes resume Tuesday March 23.
