First Circus Arrives in Dillon Through Two Bumps Tale
Frank T. Conway recounts Montana’s first circus visit to Dillon in 1882 by John Robison’s show. Two Bumps, his three wives, and many tribal members travel from Warm River to Beaver City and Dillon, encountering posters, trains, and a cannon that frightens the party before fleeing back to their camp.
