Glendale Remembered As Once Bustling Mining Town
Glendale in Beaverhead county once hosted about 1000 residents with churches, a bank, hotels, and a smelter. The Trapper lode discovery in 1873 sparked a rush, leading to Trapper and later Lion City, while the Hecla Mining Co built a 10 stamp mill and refinery. By 1879 no town plat existed yet residents relied on possession, and Glendale declined after the smelter closed.

A general rule for pleasing furniture layout suggests using straight pieces at right angles to or parallel with room walls. Avoid placing furniture across corners and reserve corners for chairs and corner cupboards, allowing curved pieces to fit other areas.
