Sheridan farmers buy imported black shire stallion
B D Marsh and Foster Brothers of Sheridan bought an imported black shire stallion from the Reynolds estate at Dillon. The three-year-old horse weighs about 1600 pounds and is valued as a top draught sire. Marsh has also purchased mares from Charles Baril and owns other brood mares weighing up to a ton.

City League Formed For Three Baseball Teams
Dillon fans held a large meeting at the hotel to organize a city league of three teams. Matt Barry, Ed Farmsworth and Jos C Smith were unanimously chosen as managers, with Adolph Eliel president, G T Paul vice president, E D White treasurer, and E L Poindexter secretary. A canvas sing committee will solicit bids from local businesses to enter teams, with cash offers already coming in. The league aims for immediate enthusiasm and a strong start.

Public School Art Exhibit Earns Funds for New Prints
The Dillon public school art show under Superintendent Grant H. Finch raised 175 dollars from sales and events to buy a large framed Elson portrait and fund fifteen prints. A prize went to George Allen Smith for selling 66 tickets, choosing Sir Galahad for his room.

Death in Dillon From Appendicitis
Kenneth Malkinder four years old, son of Prof and Mrs Malkinder of Dillon, died in Butte from appendicitis. He was taken to Butte Friday for surgery by his father, a commercial department head at Beaverhead County High School, but died at 8 pm after an operation by Dr T C Witherspoon at Murray Hospital. Funeral at 2 pm tomorrow at the family home with Rev Jesse Lacklan officiating. Interment Mountain View Cemetery.
