History of Beaverhead County High School Story
A history prepared by Mrs. F. D. Willis is placed in the cornerstone of the new Beaverhead County High School building. It traces early schools in Bannack and Dillon, the 1900 organization of the high school, building expansions from 1902 to 1912, and the addition of commercial, agricultural, domestic science, and general courses. The piece notes enrollments from 1902-03 through 1929-30, staff changes, and the school’s growth toward 325 students in 1938-39, with the first graduating class.
