Murals by Italian Master in Montana Church Mission

In the Little Rockies fifty miles from a railway, St Paul’s Mission church and school, started in 1886 by Rev Father Erbischweiler under Jesuit direction, hosts mural bible scenes by a celebrated Italian artist. The campus includes a stone church, sister house, and dormitory for boys, with a 4000 acre valley, irrigation by People’s Creek, and a high school that provides agronomy and horticulture training to about 200 students. The area includes rich mines, remote terrain, and scenic peaks such as Judith and Snowy Mountains.
