Local Draft Board In Helena Prepares For Heavier Workload
Montana district board No.1 convenes in Helena to process exemptions from military service for agricultural and industrial grounds and to review appeals from county examiners. The panel will work daily, with schedule split between the Gaten block and the adjutant general's office, handling industry and dependency rulings and counts of exemptions.

Knowledge of Treason Guilty Unless Reported
James Baldwin assistant district attorney urged county attorneys to act on the federal misprision of treason law. He said anyone with knowledge of treason must report to the president governor or a judge or face up to seven years imprisonment and a $1000 fine. He emphasized citizen duty to aid the government and prosecute violators if evidence exists. Mrs Ira Sanders and two daughters Vera and Vashti returned from a visit to the Diamond O ranch on Grasshopper.
