Beaverhead County Examinations Determine Draft Quota Status

Eighty four men were examined in Beaverhead County with 84 passing and not seeking exemptions. The local board, chaired by Sheriff C. K. Wyman, reported 32 probable exemptions, 69 men requesting exemptions, and 23 of the 220 failed to appear. Additional exams will be needed to meet a 110 man quota as the county shows strong turnout with some aliens exempt and a Swede who sought citizenship and willingness to defend the country.
