Deputies Stage Booze Hold Up On Idaho Falls Train
Short Line ran a special Idaho Falls to Dillon train for a Dillon Blackfoot ball game. Two deputy sheriffs boarded at Dubois and collected liquor from riders, moving through the car with a sack and demanding funds. Bottles were hurled from windows as passengers resisted, some locals aiding in recovery of salvageable booze, though much was lost to the desert air.

New Andrus Hotel Rapidly Rising for September Completion
The New Andrus Hotel should be completed by the 15th of September. Brickwork is finished, plumbers are installing plumbing and heating. A grand opening is planned. The hotel dining room was leased to a Drummond hotel man. All five first-floor stores, lobby cigar counters, and basement pool room have rental arrangements.

Kindergarten session concludes successful eight weeks
The eight week kindergarten program at the Normal Training school, led by Miss Caroline Barber, ended last Friday morning. Barber departed for Baker City California for the summer. Sam Lindville Crushed to Death by Train at Dell
Sam Lindville was instantly killed last Thursday at Dell when he was run over by a train. It is believed he may have been intoxicated and bewildered as the locomotive approached, causing him to step onto the track. The body remains at Brundage undertaking parlors awaiting word from relatives.
