Army Contracts Will Absorb Wool Surplus
Senator Murray reports Army contract policy will require high domestic wool content. Aviation linings use 96 percent domestic wool, cushion socks 100 percent, serge overalls 62 percent, and a plan to use at least 35 percent domestic wool in other contracts. He says this supports 500000 wool growers nationwide as wartime production adapts to peacetime needs.
