A meeting led by S. E. Whitworth chair of the Beaverhead County Republican committee is set for August 14 at noon in the Andrus hotel dining room. The agenda includes reorganizing the county central committee election of a chairman and secretary and the selection of committees. statewide and congressional officers may also be chosen.

Patrolmen Plead Guilty in Drunk Driving Case in City Court

Patrolman Robert Wright and H. Morris and Richard anl pleaded guilty Monday in the se court to operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated and were fined. Judge Louis imposed a $75 fine and a $100 penalty in another petty larceny case. The jail term was suspended for two counts. The Fitzsimmons theft was also noted in court proceedings.

Funeral for Pvt Welborn Arranged in Dillon

The body of Pvt Kenneth R Welborn who was killed in action January 17 1945 on Luzon will arrive home for burial Friday morning. A full military honors funeral will be held at 2 o clock from the Presbyterian church with an American Legion escort. Rites at Mountain View cemetery will follow. The 21 year old Dillon native was a Beaverhead County High School graduate and member of the Future Farmers of America. He enlisted October 22 1943 and is survived by his parents two brothers and a sister.

Monte Little 59 died early Wednesday at Galen where he had been a brief patient. Born Lewistown November 1888 he spent his life in Montana and moved to Beaverhead County in 1910 to work on a local ranch. No relatives found. body at Brundage home awaiting funeral arrangements.

Bertha Graham pleaded guilty to intoxicated driving in Judge Louis Stahl's court and was fined 75 dollars. Eloise Cloward also pleaded guilty to a vagrancy charge and was sentenced to 20 days in jail. Both were brought from Jackson by Deputy Sheriff Dan Pendergast.
