Montana Leads Northwest in Pure Bred Cattle
Montana has more pure bred cattle than any northwestern state and its herds show less tuberculosis than those of other states, per a U S Department of Agriculture report. The grazing season opens on some forest reserves this month and Montana enforces 1919 law prohibiting non pure bred bulls from running at large on public highways or the open range of national forests.
