The Boston Mont ana corporation filed a five million dollar mortgage with Beaverhead county clerk John Baker. The deed of trust to New England Trust covers mining claims in Deer Lodge and Beaverhead counties and shares in Montana Southern Railway and Boston & Montana Milling and Power. Keller Wins Schulz Challenge Medal At Dillon Rod and Gun Shoot
Dillon Rod and Gun Club members enjoyed a spring Sunday shoot with four 15 bird events, one 20 bird, one 25 bird, and a five-pair double event. Bill Keller tied Fred Dart at 50 with handicap and won in a shoot off. Roy Forrester captured the Dillon cup by hitting 24 of 25 targets. Hi Brundage and C C Thornton tied 24 of 25 with Brundage winning from the 23 yard line in a shoot off.

Dillon Men Win Honors at Handball Tournament
Bud Hartwig and George Melton earned second honors in the doubles at the state handball tournament in Helena. Hartwig and partner won silver medals and returned to Dillon after traveling from Butte, where Mrs. Hartwig joined him for the trip.

First Spring Public Auction At Sullivan Yards
The first sale of the season will be held Saturday afternoon at the Sullivan Sale yards near the courthouse. A large consignment includes about a hundred head of cattle work horses saddle horses milch cows hogs and many farm implements and household goods. The auctioneer is Hammer Smith and Bert Williams serves as clerk.

New Dining Hall Underway at Normal College
Construction on the Normal College dining hall is progressing rapidly with blasting in frozen ground for the basement. Second story work has begun and completion is hoped by June 1080 to serve the summer session. The $50,000 building will feature dining rooms, sanitary kitchens, a bakery, large storage with ice plant, and expanded commissary facilities.

Beaverhead County Holds Regular Monthly Meeting 1922
Beaverhead county commissioners met April 5 1922 in Dillon with Chairman Shaw and Commissioners Gosman and Anderson present. They postponed the W A Sewall road report to May and adopted a fence contract with the Oregon Short Line railroad while approving a county fair fence clause. They approved a Ford runabout for the surveyor, set hearings for road districts in June, and adjourned to April 4 then April 5 for further sessions to handle tax opinions and road repairs.
