In Devils Lake tonight Farmer Johns heavyweight champion of Southern Minnesota meets McGurren and Hauge state champion and former state champion. The winner gets 75 percent of private receipts. McDonald Wins Bout In Revival Wrestling Match

Angus McDonald of East Grand Forks defeated Roxie Orris of Munich to take two falls after long grinding sessions. Orris won the first fall in nineteen minutes, with McDonald tying on the second before the decisive third fall. Atlas Kid and Palmer the Peerless also wrestled. Palmer won the first fall, Atlas the second, then Atlas refused the third. Colonel Winecke officiated with satisfaction.

Department of Commerce and Labor figures show 1904 salaried officials and clerks at 1,181 rising to 9,233 in 1909. Average wage earners grew from 12,049 to 75,721 over the period. The number of establishments increased dramatically by 917 percent, with capital invested also expanding.

The American Automobile Association plans its Federal Aid Good Roads convention January 16 and 17 in Washington D C with cooperation from highway interests. Tokio George Calderwood of Crary was a business visitor in Tokio on Saturday. C D Mills went to Crary Friday returning Saturday. Miss Freeberg attended The Red Mill at the Grand Opera house in Devils Lake last week. Mr and Mrs F H Baitson and son Vernon were Devils Lake visitors on Thursday. Miss Wilson was shopping in Devils Lake Thursday. Fred Leuther plans to return with his family to McVitie after grain buying this fall. Fred Richmond hosted a dancing party in the schoolhouse Friday night with many Devils Lakers guests and a turkey lunch at midnight. Mr and Mrs Hanson and daughter May of Devils Lake visited Mr and Mrs Herbert Haitson recently. Mr Albert Lundy went to Maza Saturday to spend Sunday with family. Francis and Emery Chase are home a few days with their parents. John Egan arrived from Brooten Minn to make this town his future home. Miss Leona Jaqua attended teachers' institute at Oberon last week.
