On 36 acres he produced 900 bushels oats 1500 bushels potatoes 71 bushels beans and 700 bushels barley selling at prevailing rates for total earnings of 1820 plus 19 bushels per acre Canadian field peas at 2 50 a bushel. His results encourage Red River valley farmers to diversify beyond wheat.
