Towner North Dakota December 8 the Henningsen Creamery Company of Towner shipped twenty five thousand pounds of turkeys to Great Falls by express and supplied 2125 families with wickey for Thanksgiving. The firm had asked for fifty thousand pounds but officials doubted the goal was reachable.
In Wimbledon, $2000 was paid to local farmers for poultry, a sizable sum with little effort and high profits. The county sees rising quality flocks as breeders improve stock. Scrub fowl are rare as well cared for birds multiply across the area.
Farmers in the territory shift from scrub stock to thoroughbred poultry cattle and hogs, increasing profits. Mr Kribbs reports nearly $2,000 paid in two days for turkeys chickens and ducks as crops settle.
