Bidders Sought for 33000 DevIls Lake Bonds

City of Devils Lake North Dakota invites sealed bids by January 2, 1912 for 33000 Municipal Light Plant Bonds issued after a November 6 1911 election. Bids must include a 2 percent good faith check, 5 percent interest, twenty year term, and $1000 denominations. City may reject all bids.

Mrs. Chas Johnson, five miles north of the city, was thrown from a buggy when the horse ran away. She sustained a dislocated shoulder and minor bruises. The horse returned, Mrs Johnson was found in the road, and treated at home where she rests easily.

Alderman P G Miller a leading Socialist of Devils Lake says the confession by the McNamaras will not hurt socialism. He argues they were Democrats not Socialists and faced a biased judge and prearranged jury and that Socialists denounced the men after their admission.

Large Confirmation Class Scheduled in Devils Lake

A class of more than 200 candidates will be confirmed by Bishop James O'Reilly of Fargo after High Mass at 10:30 at St. Joseph's Church in Devils Lake. The rite includes two Masses with communion and a sermon by the bishop. Special music will accompany the service.

Northwestern Land Products Show to Open in St Paul

The Northwestern Land Products show opens next Tuesday December 12 at the St Paul Auditorium and runs through December 25. It blends agricultural industrial horticultural displays from seven states and Alaska with notable art exhibits from Charles M Russell and other works. governors from eight states will attend on state days and railroads offer special fares from Minnesota points.

Electric line plans three stations for rapid transit

Stotlar Investment to build three electric stations in spring from Dev ils Lake to Greenwood and Chautauqua. Five thousand railroad ties ordered from Duluth for the line. Two 33 foot electric cars seating 34 passengers each, 9 horsepower, plus Arch trolley posts. Stations at Great Northern viaduct Soo depot and Greenwood with service to the lake in summer.
