Columbus Day proposal and local community notes
A column mixing satire on a Columbus Day holiday with a string of community notes from Point Washington. It covers a proposed federal holiday, local visits to the Confederate Air Show in Harlingen, and updates on residents, clubs, a new unified church sign project, autumn weather reflections, and a Today program anecdote about the death penalty tied to a controversial ship hijacking.
